Job Description
Qualcomm is seeking energetic and self-driven campus graduates to join as Associate Engineer (Software). The role involves designing and developing software for Qualcomm’s mobile chipsets using cutting-edge technology across domains such as multimedia, wireless modem, platform software, and IoT.
Responsibilities
- Develop real-time embedded software and device drivers
- Work on mobile software development for Android, Linux, and Windows
- Collaborate on multimedia technologies such as audio, video, and imaging
- Contribute to wireless modem technologies including 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth, SON
- Develop board support packages (BSP), kernel, and device drivers
- Work on IoT applications such as connected cameras, smart assistants, drones, VR/AR
- Participate in protocol stack development (TCP/UDP/IP/SIP/RTP)
- Contribute to application software and UI development
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or Communication Engineering
- Strong knowledge of OS concepts and data structures
- Proficiency in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
- Experience or knowledge of Linux/UNIX, kernel development, and drivers
- Understanding of wireless standards such as CDMA/GSM/UMTS/LTE
- Familiarity with multimedia technologies (audio, video, imaging)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
